Windsor High Hosts AP Science Program

More than 200 students from seven high schools are joining together on Saturday, January 23rd, as part of a special program to focus on how to succeed in Science on their Advance Placement (AP) courses. Students who take and pass AP courses often can apply that credit to their college transcript. This is the first such program hosted by Windsor High School as part of its five-year grant of $600,000 from the Connecticut Business & Industry Association’s (CBIA) “Project Opening Doors” initiative. Project Opening Doors is a partnership between the public and private sectors that seeks to increase Connecticut students' participation in AP courses and better ensure their success in college. Experts on science are coming from all over Connecticut; another is from San Antonio. Participating schools are:
