At our district's recent Volunteer Appreciation Day, hosted by the Office of Family and Community Partnerships, we had the privilege of honoring the incredible individuals who contribute to the vibrancy of our educational community. From dedicated PTO moms to Watch D.O.G.S. father-figures, community mentors, and student tutors to guest readers, each volunteer plays a vital role in ensuring that "Every Moment Matters" for our students.

One of the core values of our district is the belief that family involvement is crucial for student success. That's why we actively invite families into our school buildings and encourage intentional collaboration between educators, students, and families. Volunteer Appreciation Night serves as a testament to this commitment, as we come together to recognize and celebrate the impactful contributions of our volunteers.

This year's event was nothing short of unforgettable, thanks to the collaborative efforts of our students and educators. Our culinary students delighted attendees with their homemade cookies, while our graphic design students added a personalized touch to our bento snack boxes. The SEL Fresh Start leaders provided childcare for our little ones, allowing parents to fully participate in the festivities. And let's not forget the mesmerizing performance by our school band, who illuminated the evening with their jazz takes on modern tunes. Special thanks to Ms. Taranto, Ms. Whales, Mrs. Gutierrez, and Mr. Monroe for their dedication and mentorship.
