Windsor, CT – November 14, 2024 — Windsor Public Schools (WPS) proudly honored its dedicated staff at the annual Service Awards Ceremony held last night, recognizing employees who have reached significant service milestones within the district. This year’s event celebrated an exceptional group of professionals who have devoted 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, and even 40+ years to serving Windsor students, families, and the community.

Chief of Operations Danielle Batchelder, who herself marked 10 years of service, shared her heartfelt appreciation for her colleagues. She said, “In today’s world, where career paths often shift, you’ve chosen to dedicate your talents to the children of Windsor, becoming an integral part of the fabric of our district.”

The evening was filled with gratitude and celebration for all honorees. Special recognition was given to those reaching extraordinary milestones:

Michael Dunn and Robert Grimes for 30 years of service

Joy Murray for 35 years of service

Laura Dickerson for an outstanding 41 years of service


“Windsor Public Schools is incredibly fortunate to have such committed individuals who bring their best each day to support the success and well-being of our students,” said Dr. Terrell Hill, Superintendent of WPS. “These dedicated staff members are true role models of commitment and dedication, and their contributions are deeply appreciated by our entire community.”

Mr. Potter, 25 year honoree is all smiles with his wife during the WPS Annual Service Awards.

The annual Service Awards Ceremony is part of Windsor Public Schools’ ongoing commitment to recognizing and honoring the invaluable work of its staff, whose dedication ensures that every child in Windsor has access to a high-quality education and a nurturing school environment.
