Lindsey’s leadership extends beyond her classroom. As the 2nd-grade PLC Leader, she facilitates effective meetings focused on analyzing student data and refining instructional practices to drive success. Additionally, Lindsey mentors student teachers, modeling the qualities every educator should aspire to. Jelenne Parker: A Champion for Equity and Literacy
At Poquonock Elementary, 1st-grade teacher Jelenne Parker is a powerhouse advocate for her students. Known for her ability to identify barriers and bring solutions to the table, Jelenne’s commitment to equity ensures every student receives the support they need to succeed.
Jelenne’s leadership and collaboration go beyond her grade level, extending across levels and support staff. She excels in using data to drive instruction and building strong home-school partnerships. A true lover of literacy, Jelenne has even published two children’s books, inspiring young readers both inside and outside the classroom.
