Dr. Hady leads a powerful introduction to district-wide PD.
Yesterday’s Windsor Nation was nothing short of inspiring. Under the leadership of our North Star Navigator, Dr. Noha Abdel Hady, we gathered as a community to recharge, realign, and reconnect with one another—all while keeping Student Voice at the heart of our journey.
Our award-winning gospel choir gave our educators and staff ALL the feels! 🙌🏽❤️
From the moment the award-winning Windsor High School Gospel Choir took the stage, the energy was palpable. Their powerful performance set the tone for a day focused on celebrating our students and learning from their experiences. We were honored to hear directly from members of Dr. Hill’s Student Advisory Council, who shared their authentic insights on what it means to be a student at Windsor Public Schools. When asked by Dr. Mallery how they feel about being a part of WPS, the overwhelming sentiment was one of support, challenge, empowerment, and community. Their voices resonated deeply with educators and staff alike, serving as a powerful reminder of the impact we make every day.

Adding to the richness of the day, we saw our #LeadLearners, AKA building principals, step into the spotlight, leading dynamic Professional Development sessions. Their leadership and vision continue to drive our mission of high-quality Tier 1 instruction and fostering critical thinkers.
Liana Jorgensen, proud Principal of Sage Park Middle School pictured with her staff during a PD session, rocking their "Nothing can stop us. We're on our way up!" t-shirts. A gift from Dr. Hady for the schools recent gains on student achievement.
A standout moment of the day was watching the video capturing student feedback on Critical Thinking. Hearing students articulate what critical thinking means to them was powerful and reaffirmed the importance of nurturing this essential skill. Their voices were insightful, authentic, and a true testament to the genius within every child. It’s moments like these that show our Instructional Core Wheel is doing its magic! Our investment in high-quality instruction and strategic thinking is truly developing Thinking Classrooms across the district. When students can confidently define and demonstrate critical thinking, we know we’re on the right track. Our North Star is guiding us, and the results are shining bright!

As we move forward, we carry with us the invaluable perspectives our students shared. By embracing student voice and empowering them to be critical thinkers, we are taking Windsor Public Schools to new heights.
At WPS, we PD different. #weareWINdsor 👐🏽
Stay tuned for the video—we can’t wait for you to hear what our students have to say!
