students use potatoe stencils to paint a picture

Students in Ms. Scott's Kindergarten class enjoyed a fall festival held in the school's courtyard. The class took turns at four different stations designed to explore the wonder of the autumn season. At one station students created an owl with googly eyes, and at another they painted a tree with autumn-colored leaves using stencils cut from potatoes. At one table, students were able to invesitgate Indian corn and pine cones  and another station invited students to reach their hand inside a carboard box and use their deductive reasoning to identify the mystery inside the box just by touching the object. The final station was decorating small pumpkins. Thank you to the parent volunteers for their assistance with this project.
