Windsor, CT ā October 4, 2024 ā Sage Park Middle Schoolās inaugural Watch D.O.G.S (Dads of Great Students) chapter launch, affectionately named Charger Dads, saw a remarkable turnout of fathers and father figures on Wednesday evening. The event marked the official start of a program that aims to strengthen relationships between students, families, and the school community through positive male role models.
Set to the backdrop of lively Latin jazz and the rich, inviting aromas of Spanish cuisine, the Charger Dads event not only celebrated the program launch but also honored Hispanic Heritage Month. The night was a vibrant fusion of culture, connection, and commitment to student success.

The event featured presentations from program leaders, offering insights into how Charger Dads will play a pivotal role in enhancing the student experience through mentoring, support during school activities, and a visible presence that builds a stronger sense of security and belonging for all students.

For Hispanic Heritage Month, attendees also had the opportunity to experience the warmth of Latin culture with a menu of traditional Spanish dishes, provided by local Windsor restaurants, and music that added energy and celebration to the evening.
