Under the leadership of Christina Morales, the Office of Family and Community Partnerships (OFCP) encompasses the heart of the work being done in our district. With the support of our Superintendent and BOE, Ms. Morales and her dedicated team (5 Family Resource Center Coordinators, OFCP Program Assistant, Fueling Minds Mentorship Liaison, & Welcome Center Coordinator) ensure that the needs of families & students are being met with fidelity across our district.
Through the implementation of programs such as Parent Teacher Home Visits (PTHV), Watch D.O.G.S (Dad's of Great Students), Fueling Minds Mentors, K KIDS, Parent Leadership Councils, Play Groups, Tree House Before & After School Program, Parenting Workshops, among other initiatives, there has been a positive shift in school climate and school culture. Families and educators in our district have become more aligned than ever and are forming intentional partnerships that impact educational outcomes.
In collaboration with the Office of Family and Community Partnerships WPS aims to partner with families and our valued community, as well as amplify student voices through Positive Youth Development initiatives to ensure success in our classrooms.
Be sure to head over to the OFCP webpage to find out how YOU, YOUR STUDENT, or YOUR COMPANY can get involved!
