Last night, we gathered to express our immense gratitude to the dedicated coaches who have played a pivotal role in shaping the success of Windsor's fall sports season. Coach Over, Coach Fleeting, Coach Rathgeber, Coach Oakley, Coach Clarke, Coach Marcelino, and Coach Sanchez—your commitment to our community, students, and athletic programs is truly invaluable.
The unwavering dedication to both sports and academics resonates deeply within us, evoking a profound sense of pride. Heartfelt congratulations to parents, teachers, coaches, and, above all, the students for their exceptional achievements. Amid Mr. Fulton's celebration of these triumphs, the evening was also marked by a poignant recognition of the profound losses we experienced this year with the passing of our beloved Elijah Rivera and Coach Knight. Amidst these challenges, our athletes demonstrated resilience and achieved remarkable triumphs:
Girls XC emerged victorious in the North division with a perfect 6-0 record and showcased outstanding performances in the Class MM State Championships.
Boys XC secured second place in the CCC North, with Lucas Pearce earning all-conference honors.
Field Hockey, marked by significant improvement, had Grace Felgate named as our lone all-conference selection.
Football dominated the North with a flawless 7-0 record, progressing to the second round of the state playoffs. Multiple players received All-Conference honors, showcasing their exceptional skills.
Our soccer teams, both Boys and Girls, made their mark in the state playoffs with standout players earning all-conference selections.
Swimming and Diving demonstrated excellence, securing second place in the medley relay team and 200 Free Relay, a testament to the talent of Sophia Caldwell, Victoria Diaz, Lella Vazquez, and Caysee Venturini.
Girls Volleyball finished strong, claiming second place in the North Division, with several players earning All-Conference recognition.
Acknowledging not only athletic accomplishments but also academic excellence, our teams showcased their commitment in the classroom, with the lowest team GPA being an impressive 82 among all Fall Sports teams. Special congratulations to Girls XC for clinching the top spot with a team GPA average of 91.8. Kudos also to the runners-up: Girls Swimming and Diving with a GPA of 91.4 and Field Hockey with an impressive 90.3. Well done to all student-athletes!
The journey continues, and we look forward to building on this success in the upcoming seasons.
